Beastie Bowls straddle the realms of inanimate and animate, usable and decorative. All are inspired by insects, sea creatures, and succulents. Many appear to be poised on hind legs, ready to pounce, or at least crawl into action. I am continually striving to create ceramic work that feels as if it is fossilized or in a long dormancy from which it might awaken at any moment.
